Sophisticated Equipment

We have invested in some of the latest eye testing equipment available today. Our test includes a check for glaucoma and other features in addition to the standard NHS sight test. We also perform the binocular driving test.

NHS & Private Eye Examinations

Certain groups of people are eligible for an examination free of charge under the NHS. Please ask for details.

Our charge for an eye examination is £25.00.

Same Day Service

We aim to provide an efficient and friendly service. We stock soft contact lenses and glaze spectacles on site and can often provide a same day service.

Eyewear for Everyone

We stock an extensive range of frames, including leading designs by Armani, Calvin Klein and DKNY. We can obtain most other leading designer frames even if we do not stock that particular brand.

We can take a digital picture of you wearing different frames so that you can see how your new spectacles would look before you purchase them:

Then the Video Dispensing system in the practice is ideal for you.

This is how it works; you try on the frame or frames you like, the system takes snapshots of you wearing the frames and then the lens prescription is put into the frame so you can see how they will look on you, and make an informed decision.

The system can show tints in frames, and therefore how a sunglass in that frame would look.

This system is of course ideal for those who need glasses to see what they would look like. The pictures can be taken, and with your own glasses back on you can see what you look like.

Dispensing

We welcome outside prescriptions to dispense. Depending on your prescription we will help you choose the most suitable frame and advise you on the best possible type of lenses.

VDU Screening

We provide VDU screening suitable for employers and employees tailor made to accommodate any size of company. Please inquire for an individual quote.

Contact Lens Service

We provide a full contact lens fitting service, including after care and advice.

After your examination we will discuss any particular requirements that you may have and advise you on the various types of lenses including soft, gas permeable, toric, bifocal, tinted and disposable lenses.

After Care Service

It is very important that we see you at regular intervals to monitor your progress and examine your eyes and contact lenses.

Same Day Service

We stock frequent replacement and daily disposable soft lenses so that we a re often able to supply these on the same day as your initial examination.

Accessories

We stock all the accessories for spectacles and contact lenses such as magnifiers, hi-tech cloths, cases, chains, cords and cleaning solutions.
